Group Options at the Minturn Saloon
We have been doing corporate and family events successfully for over 20 years. 1) Private Party-
It is possible to rent out the entire restaurant for the evening. We do this many times throughout the year for both corporate clients and family celebrations. We can accommodate about 150 people inside and another 50 people on our outdoor riverside deck. For groups of 115 or less we can offer your choice of regular table service with a fixed or choice menu, or buffet service. For groups of over 115, buffet service is the only option. We have great flexibility when it comes to menu formation.
Pricing for a private party is determined according to the day of the week and the month of the year: Friday is more expensive for a closure than Tuesday, September is more expensive than October but less than March and ski season. The number of guests attending is also figured in but is not the driving factor many times.
Depending on the number of guests, we usually have room for entertainment (band and dancing) and audio/visual equipment.
2) Private Party on the outdoor deck only-
We are able to offer this option to groups of 50 and under. Our outdoor riverside deck has a retractable rain proof awning to help provide cover from afternoon sun or rain showers. Pricing is determined along the lines of the private party but with only the deck in mind. There is generally a closure fee and a minimum food and bar fee. We can offer a buffet style of service on the deck for groups and have good flexibility when it comes to what menu choices are served. We also develop a back-up plan in case of a rare bad weather day.
3) Closure of the dining room to Public for the first 2 hours of the evening (seasonal)-
This option is not generally available during ski season. A group can take over the dining room for the first seating of the evening. The dining room opens in the summer at 5:30 pm (5:00 pm during ski season) and seats between and 104 to 115 people. There is a fee for the dining room closure dependent upon the time of the year and the size of the group. There will also be a minimum expenditure assessed. Style of service and menu vary with the size of the group. After two hours the Minturn Saloon dining room will be open to regular customers and tables will have to be made available. The party is welcome to adjourn to the bar or deck. The bar and deck remains open to the public throughout the evening.
4) Regular group service-
The Minturn Saloon handles large groups on a nightly basis as part of our normal service. For groups over 20 people we often recommend that they arrive very close to the opening of the dining room so that we can be sure to have the proper number of seats set aside and so our staff can give the group the high level of service and attention that should be expected. The Minturn Saloon does not use a reservation system so groups that wish to arrive during the middle and later portions of the evening should work out the details with us in advance. There is flexibility when is comes to menu design - our regular menu, The Minturn Saloon "limited menu", or a specially conceived menu for your group. Buffet service is not available in the dining room when we are open to the public. There are no special fees for regular group service.
